6 Cylinder Firing Order

Introduction

“Fire” this word always gives goosebumps to an automobile enthusiast as for him the word fire resembles with the power, of course it is true, fire is the most important source of energy from the birth of the mother earth. In an engine as we know fire which is produced by the spark plug is the main source of energy that converts chemical energy into mechanical energy, this is the basic principle over which an engine works,  now let’s race the horses of our mind and think How does the combustion occurs in engine with more than one cylinder? How does the firing of fuel (combustion) be controlled in multi-cylinder engine? Let’s just dig it out.

Firing order of a multi cylinder engine is the power delivering sequence of each cylinder which is set by the designer such that the combustion of fuel in different cylinders occurs in a predefined order that can produce uninterrupted and  maximum power output through the crankshaft  of an multi-cylinder engine.
The firing order is different for different engine configurations for example – Firing order of 2-cylinder V-shape engine is different from the firing order of the 4-cylinder inline engine.

How ABS work in vehicle

ABS is an abbreviation for Anti-lock Braking System. It was designed to help the driver maintain some steering ability and avoid skidding while braking.
ABS was introduced in the mid -1980s and has become "standard" equipment on the majority of vehicles sold in Canada. ABS in cars and most multi-purpose vehicles (MPV’s) and pick-up trucks works on all four wheels. This promotes directional stability and allows steering while maximizing braking.

Control under heavy braking
ABS allows you to maintain control of the vehicle. Since four-wheel ABS prevents all wheels from skidding, it allows you to steer the vehicle and still maintain braking.

How does it work?

ABS uses wheel speed sensors to determine if one or more wheels are trying to lock up during braking. If a wheel tries to lock up, a series of hydraulic valves limit or reduce the braking on that wheel. This prevents skidding and allows you to maintain steering control.


Why do I want or need this?

In a recent Canadian Automobile Association survey of some 1700 members, 66% correctly associated ABS with vehicle stability in an emergency, and 53% correctly stated that ABSallows the driver to steer while braking.
Since the ABS will not allow the tire to stop rotating, you can brake and steer at the same time. The braking and steering ability of the vehicle is limited by the amount of traction the tire can generate.
If you demand steering while braking, the 100% of traction that the tire can generate will be divided between both tasks. For example, if you require 50% for steering then there is 50% of available traction left for braking. If you require 10% for steering then there is 90% left for braking. Be aware that 100% traction on a dry road is a great deal more traction than 100% traction on ice! Therefore, your vehicle is unable to steer and brake as well on a slippery surface as it can on a dry road.

What are the most common problems with a used Audi TT coupe?

Owners are generally very happy with their cars, and there are few reported faults.
The leather seats can wear quickly – particularly the side bolsters of the seat base. You can help prevent excess wear by regularly applying a quality leather cream, but it can't restore the seat if it's already badly worn.
The front brakes can make a squealing noise, although it doesn't appear to reduce the brakes performance. There is no exact cause and sometimes only replacing the brake pads cures it.
A few dashboard and glovebox rattles can appear over time and the door seals can whistle and higher speeds. Poor-quality paintwork has also been reported, although it is rare.

Is a used Audi TT coupe reliable?

TTs of this generation seem to be bullet-proof so far. Reported problems are few, although it should be noted that the previous model got a below-average overall score for reliability. Also, Audi as a brand doesn’t usually fare all that well in our reliability surveys.

Why engine coolant is necessary for your car ?

Well water alone could work, but a few of extra things that coolant does are as follows:  Provides resistance to corrosion in the engine cooling systems by avoiding things like electrolysis  Dissipate more heat than water alone can and avoids the system boiling at higher temperatures  Stops freezing of the coolant in extremely low temperatures  These are two pretty important factors to consider when you choose a coolant for your vehicle.  Normal or even distilled water will allow metallic parts and even rubber or even synthetic parts to perish and corrode more quickly.  A quality coolant is critical in avoiding these reaction.  The reactions are magnified at higher temperatures and under pressure.  The ratio of coolant to water you use and the coolant quality will make sure that the life of the cooling components will be at their maximum.
